A lot of people who have purchased the Quilter’s Planner have written to me to ask exactly what fabric inspired the palette for the 2017 Quilter’s planner.  I’m happy to share how it came about!  Pulling fabrics is one of the most fun parts of beginning a new quilt, isn’t it?

The colors were inspired by a palette I was challenged to create for a competition last spring using the new line of Paintbrush Solids for Fabri-Quilt.  To find out where you can purchase Paintbrush Solids by Fabri-Quilt, click HERE.

Here they are, in all their glory!

The palette all began with my recent obsession with orchid.  My friend Kitty, from the blog Night Quilter, is a quilter and nature photographer, and she shared these beautiful photos with me. I loved them so much, I built the palette off the concept of a pop of orchid.

I’m thrilled with the palette… and I can’t wait to sew up some bright, happy quilts with it.  I hope you enjoy it too!
