This block tutorial shows how to make the Flying Geese block as shown in the 2019 Quilter’s Planner.
Flying Geese Block
Number of Fabrics: 2 | Number of Pieces: 6
(4) 3 1/2″ squares
(2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ rectangles
Piecing
Referring to the “Flying Geese: Rectangle and Two Squares Method” instructions in the Reference section of your Quilter’s Planner, make (2) 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ flying geese sub-blocks.
Using a 1/4″ seam allowance, sew the (2) flying geese sub-blocks together. Press toward the top.
The finished Flying Geese Block should measure 6 1/2″ square.
