This block tutorial shows how to make the Four Patch block as shown in the 2019 Quilter’s Planner.
Four Patch Block
Number of Fabrics: 2 | Number of Pieces: 4
(2) 3 1/2″ squares
(2) 3 1/2″ squares
Piecing
Using a 1/4″ seam, sew squares together to make an upper row. Press seam to dark fabric. Upper row should measure 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″.
Using a 1/4″ seam, sew squares together to make a lower row. Press seam to dark fabric. Lower row should measure 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″.
Nesting seams, sew rows together with a 1/4″ seam. Press seam open.
The finished Four Patch Block should measure 6 1/2″ square.
