All this month, we’re sharing more about our 2023 Quilter’s Planner designers. The next designer we’d like to share with you is Cassandra Beaver of The (not so) Dramatic Life, who designed the beautiful Floral Starburst Pillow!
Cassandra is a “mostly-modern” quilter, pattern designer, and quilting educator based in west-central Ohio. She holds a BFA in Painting and Theatre Design and an MFA in Scenic Design. Her award winning quilts have been in more than 30 shows, numerous publications, and four quilts reside in the permanent collection of the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky. You may have seen Cassandra’s very popular Beyond Color talk at QuiltCon2022, where she taught about the OTHER elements of design.
The Floral Starburst Pillow is a fresh variation of a traditional Ruby Roads block. It highlights the starburst formation of the design with a strong floral vibe.
