There are many reasons why we love the Quilter's Planner, but we wanted to share our favourite 8 reasons...the quilts!

We could tell you 100 reasons why we love the Quilter’s Planner, and why it’s a must have for 2023 for organizing your life and your quilting. But today we’re going to give you our 8 favorite reasons why the Quilter’s Planner is great… it’s the quilts!

Let us share with you the 8 awesome projects that feature in the planner this year.

The River Avon – Sew Along Quilt for 2023 By Claire Campion of Made Just Sew

The River Avon Quilt is a medallion style pattern that will be worked on throughout the year up to September. Within the planner you can find month by month instructions, complete with diagrams, so that you can sew with us throughout the year! We have partnered with our friends at Sewfinity based here in the US, to create kits in 4 different colourways. Alternatively, you can create your own colour palette using the colouring page in the planner to test out your own designs!

Letter Day Quilt By Karen Lewis of Karen Lewis Textiles

We love Karen’s Letter Day quilt. It uses simple piecing to achieve a high impact design, and with the four-at-a time (no waste) method, it comes together in no time at all! Karen has used her Hampton Court Collection for Figo Fabrics, paired with coordinating Figo solids to create a really playful, multicolored quilt.

Round the Corner Quilt by Rebecca Ricks of RRQuilts

This pattern was inspired by Rebecca’s time playing Duplos with her two young boys. We just love the way Rebecca has re-imagined these colorful building blocks, and you can make the same quilt or adapt it to your own variation. We just love how the corners of the quilt are curved too, it fits in so beautifully with the aesthetic of the quilt.

Tea Leaves Quilt by Cheryl Brickey of Meadow Mist Designs

Cheryl is a dear friend of the Quilter’s Planner, and we love her Tea Leaves Quilt, which is a fun twist on the classic Bear Claw block, that makes the ‘claws’ look like falling leaves. This throw sized quilt pattern is aimed at confident beginners and is a great opportunity to showcase some of your favourite prints.

If you don’t have time to make a quilt but still want to sew, you might love the Floral Starburst pillow. This fresh variation of a traditional Ruby Roads quilt block infuses the starburst formation of the design with a floral vibe. The instructions also include how to insert a lapped zipper in the back.
